Doing very well with the shadows... Love the minimalist approach. Reminds me of Ed Risso, actually. Or Frank Miller. How they'll sillouette a figure and give detail to just one part, like you did with "the right hand of doom" here.

You can't have everything, where would you put it?
id never heard of Risso but i checked out his website and this guy is freakin awesome!! yeah, his pen and ink drawings are fantastic!!
Frank Miller's another one - ive never read any of Sin City but im familiar with his style and i just love his drawings . . . really interesting how he adds a dollop of colour into a totally two-tone page and it just looks amazing!
yeah, the heavy shadows is something im practicing at the moment but love using i cant take credit for the character pose, though - that and the Abe one were taken straight from "Seed of Destruction". . . i know, im such a charlatane Thanks for ur comment, always a pleasure!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
